A Bad Uncle’s Big Book of Impossible Dilemmas

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Montreal, QC, March 1, 2010/ Ryan Barnett, the Montreal-based entertainment writer and illustrator, is pleased to announce the publication of his first book for children.
A Bad Uncle’s Big Book of Impossible Dilemmas is a kids’ book of another colour. It’s not about hungry caterpillars or lost puppies – it’s a series of grim and twisted ‘Would you rather?’ scenarios for children aged 7-10. Each scenario in this 48-page book is fully illustrated with crazy drawings guaranteed to make kids laugh. But make no mistake; Impossible Dilemmas isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s strictly no wimps allowed. A Bad Uncle’s Big Book of Impossible Dilemmas is for boys and girls whose bookshelves already include the complete collection of books by Roald Dahl, Where The Wild Things Are, and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
Barnett began developing the book after a particularly challenging breakfast with his 7-year-old nephew. In an attempt to get the boy to sit in his seat for a period longer than a few seconds, he began a game of ‘Would you rather?’ and the boy was hooked. A month later Barnett wrote and illustrated a small book of “impossible dilemmas,” which he hand bound and gave to his nephew for Christmas. It was a controversial hit on Christmas morning to say the least. In the months that followed, he continued to work on the book, developing new scenarios and refining the artwork. At the end of two months he published A Bad Uncle’s Big Book of Impossible Dilemmas – a book that will have kids laughing, and moms’ eyes rolling.
A short preview of the book is available on the Bad Uncle website. For a full PDF preview, plus more information and any other requests you can contact the author directly at the phone number or email address below.
